StorChain Masterplan: Revolutionizing Cloud Storage

 


StorChain recently held its flagship event, StorChain Singapore, which was a major milestone as the largest gathering of its type in the region. This event gathered community members and innovators from across the globe to collaborate, share ideas, and discuss the future of decentralized cloud storage.


Web3 has had a hard time keeping up with the demands of Web2 applications, especially in terms of processing and storage capacity. No blockchain has yet achieved the necessary scale to appropriately handle such demands.

The method behind StorChain's vision tackles these issues in a thorough manner:


Scalable Data Storage

Significant progress has been made in the initial stage of the StorChain Masterplan. StorChain has expanded tremendously since our mainnet launched two years ago, and it now boasts a remarkable amount of storage. Innovative hardware solutions and sustainability initiatives are only two of the partnerships and efforts that have led to an increase in our network's storage capacity. These efforts have made StorChain a leader in decentralized storage by working toward carbon neutrality and beyond.

Massive Data Onboarding

In only a year, StorChain's data storage capacity has increased dramatically from 22 PiB to an incredible 215 PiB. Because of its growth and the storage providers' (SPs') acceptance of verified agreements, StorChain has become the biggest decentralized storage network in the world. Another strong competitor of ours is traditional, centralized cloud storage providers.


Our strategy includes targeted projects like the open dataset preservation Slingshot project and targeted solutions like NFT. keeping track of NFT information. Gaming, music, video, and the metaverse are just a few of the many use cases that these systems serve. They also offer efficient and reasonably priced data storage. Additionally, we are developing technologies like content delivery networks and stellarium retrieval markets that will enable sub-second data retrieval speeds.


Making Data Useful

Now that StorChain has built a solid foundation in data storage, it is focusing on boosting processing power to enable Web3 apps. Improved compute-over-data features and the development of the StorChain Virtual Machine (SVM) are involved. Large-scale processing of stored data will be made possible via compute-over-data, and the SVM will give the network programmability and smart contracts. These advancements will stimulate the creation of new consumer-facing decentralized applications. 


These advancements will be facilitated by StorChain's interaction with other networks, which will allow data processing and interoperability between other blockchain configurations. Enhancing network speed and capacity is the main focus of our continuous research and development activities. 


Moving Forward
